Frontend Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer for a contract position with potential to transition to permanent based on performance. The role involves designing and implementing scalable, reusable UI components and shared libraries to support modern web applications utilizing React, Next.js, and similar frontend frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop modular UI components that enhance the user interface of web applications leveraging React, Next.js, and other component-based frameworks.
• Create user-friendly, high-performance frontend interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks including React, Next.js, Vite, Vue, and Svelte.
• Lead the design and development of scalable backend APIs and data models aimed at ensuring seamless and efficient frontend experiences.
• Contribute to the creation of precise high-fidelity UI components that adhere to the design system specifications.
• Develop smooth, responsive animations and interactions to improve accessibility and user engagement.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to translate complex workflows into clean, intuitive user interfaces.
• Optimize frontend systems for performance, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility.
• Enhance our design system, document components, and refine frontend architecture, promoting engineering best practices.
• Implement advanced frontend engineering techniques, including complex state management, virtualized data handling, sophisticated form controls, and reusable component patterns.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum 3 years professional experience developing production-ready full-stack web applications with a strong focus on modern frontend technologies.
• Proficiency in React, Next.js, or other contemporary JavaScript frameworks and build tools such as Vite, Vue.js, or Svelte.
• Expert knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, along with contemporary frontend architecture and best practices.
• Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs and constructing scalable backend services to support rich frontend applications.
• Solid understanding of component-based architectures, reusable UI library development, and design system integration.
• Familiarity with testing tools including Jest, React Testing Library, Storybook, or comparable frameworks.
• In-depth expertise in frontend performance tuning, accessibility standards, responsive design techniques, and ensuring browser compatibility.
• Hands-on experience with UI libraries and styling frameworks such as Material UI, Tailwind CSS, Chakra UI, or their equivalents.
• Ability to work collaboratively across the full stack and contribute effectively within fast-paced startup environments, partnering with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
