Freelance Editor for Training Content

About the Role

Hurley Studio is seeking skilled freelance editors to join their collaborative team. The company partners with pharmaceutical firms and agencies to develop educational content that fosters confidence and drives action. Editors will play a critical role in reviewing training materials prior to client delivery to ensure accuracy, polish, and readiness for approval.

Key Responsibilities

• Proofread and copyedit facilitator guides, participant guides, and slide presentations.
• Perform quality checks to ensure consistency, proper formatting, and adherence to brand guidelines.
• Confirm content accuracy by comparing with source documents and previously approved versions.
• Manage version control throughout various draft and revision stages.

• Has a sharp eye for detail and the ability to identify subtle errors missed by others.
• Enjoys ensuring uniformity across extensive documentation.
• Understands the high standards required in regulated industries.
• Communicates feedback effectively and courteously.
• Is dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently.

Required Qualifications

• Residency within the United States.
• At least three years of experience in editing, proofreading, or quality assurance.
• Exceptional command of grammar, style, and formatting consistency.
• Proficient in reviewing content across PowerPoint, Word, and PDF file formats.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to work autonomously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated sectors.
• Familiarity with Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR) review procedures.
• Background in quality assurance of training or instructional content.
• Experience following style guides and brand standards documentation.

Contract Details

• Engagement is a freelance 1099 contract.
• Position is fully remote but requires US-based candidates.
• Workload and project volume are flexible depending on client needs.
