Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute long-range financial strategies aligned with factory activities, focusing on optimizing capital deployment and investment decisions.
  • Implement cost management initiatives to enhance profit margins by analyzing production expenses, overhead costs, and raw material spending.
  • Manage financial aspects of manufacturing and supply chain operations including working capital, inventory control, and procurement costs.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and industry regulations while developing strategies to manage financial and operational risks.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust factory budgets and accurate financial forecasts responsive to market and demand changes.
  • Utilize financial analytics and key performance indicators to boost operational efficiency; oversee ERP implementation for real-time financial tracking.
  • Maintain robust cash flow to support factory functions and effectively manage debt, financing, and capital investment activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and build the finance team within the manufacturing environment; work collaboratively with operations, supply chain, and production managers.
  • Drive adoption of digital technologies, including automation and AI tools, that enhance finance operations and reduce costs.
  • Provide clear financial reporting and insights to executives and board members; cultivate relationships with investors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Professional credentials such as CA(SA), ACCA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification.
  • Between 8 and 15 years of pertinent financial experience with over 5 years in leadership positions.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, production cost structures, and supply chain financial flows.

  • Experienced with ERP systems and skilled in interpreting financial data analytics.
