Finance Manager

About the Role

Faascloud Inc. is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to play a key role in the growth of their advisory practice, which serves a diverse clientele across North America. These clients vary from rapidly expanding tech startups to established private enterprises. This position is client-facing and requires delivering both internal and external financial reports and analyses directly to clients and the co-CEOs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of client accounts, providing ongoing finance and controllership services.
• Conduct detailed financial and strategic analyses to aid in business insights, fundraising efforts, and long-term planning.
• Examine financial statements and supporting documents for accuracy, trend evaluations, variance assessments, and forecasting.
• Engage regularly with clients to stay updated on business developments, ensuring a clear understanding of critical performance drivers reflected in analyses.
• Execute and review intricate month-end closing activities and procedures.
• Collaborate with client teams, including bookkeepers, accountants, and other operational staff.
• Design and implement new internal and external processes for clients to enhance efficiency.
• Support day-to-day finance operations such as payroll, payment processing, and regulatory submissions.
• Update financial forecasts, compare budgets to actual results, and perform variance analyses monthly.
• Undertake additional ad hoc financial projects as required.

Candidate Profile

• Must hold a Canadian CPA designation.
• Possess between 3 to 5 years of relevant full-time professional experience.
• Experienced with cloud-based accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Skilled at managing multiple deadlines and deliverables simultaneously.
• Confident in leading client meetings and adopting strategic thinking approaches.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, utilizing accounting and bookkeeping expertise for issue investigation and resolution.
• Proactive and capable of independently completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, high-performing team.
• Self-motivated with robust work ethics.
• Comfortable working in remote and autonomous settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in roles such as Senior Accountant, Assistant Controller, Finance Manager, or Controller considered advantageous.
• Background in audit and assurance services from an accounting firm is beneficial.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio) and CRM platforms like Salesforce and Hubspot is a plus.
• Knowledge of Canadian payroll regulations, specifically for Ontario and British Columbia.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is between 90000 and 110000 CAD.
