Job Overview

Our audit teams are dedicated to delivering high-quality, specialised audit and assurance services that uphold investor confidence through thorough, independent financial statement audits. The role requires a commitment to public interest, critical evaluation of assumptions, and extracting valuable insights grounded in a firm understanding of the client's business and sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of audit and assurance engagements using KPMG's Audit methodology, including planning, conducting testing, reporting, and finalisation.
  • Exhibit strong technical expertise in current audit and accounting standards, such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and accounting disclosures.
  • Develop and execute adequate audit programs and procedures, performing substantive and controls testing in accordance with KPMG Audit Methodology and US Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SoX) standards.
  • Prepare technical accounting documents and management reports, including Audit committee reports, Management Letters, Reports of Factual Findings, and Audit Reports.
  • Leverage knowledge of the Risk Management Framework and Audit Methodology to deliver precise, high-quality audit findings and foster risk awareness among junior personnel.
  • Oversee a small portfolio of clients, lead small audit teams, and manage workflow and quality assurance on engagements.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding engagement progress and findings, and regularly update the appropriate KPMG Partner on significant matters.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience and knowledge of US GAAP, US GAAS, and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SoX) compliance.
  • Familiarity with accounting and financial frameworks such as IFRS and/or US GAAP/US GAAS.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities, strong communication, project management, and report writing skills.
  • People management experience, including managing audit engagements and client relationships.
  • Approximately 5 to 6+ years of auditing experience in a comparable public practice environment.
