Role Overview

The Equipment Owner for the Multipack area operates on a permanent day shift at the Kilbrew site in Ashbourne. Reporting to the Line Lead, this role entails responsibility for designated equipment, ensuring adherence to operational standards and contributing to loss reduction initiatives that help the site attain operational excellence and meet its strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate assigned equipment and perform changeovers in line with site protocols, including all safety and quality standards.
• Maintain 6S principles in equipment and surrounding work area, encompassing Sort, Set in order, Shine, Safety, Standardize, and Systemize.
• Execute the daily Run To Target (RTT) Daily Management System activities and address faults within skill scope.
• Provide data and input for Shift Daily Direction System (DDS), taking immediate corrective action when possible.
• Understand and manage Clean, Inspect & Lubricate (CIL) and Centerlines (CL) tasks; perform initial and scheduled maintenance accordingly.
• Identify equipment defects proactively, logging and resolving or escalating issues as needed.
• Take ownership of the Equipment Ownership book developed through Autonomous Maintenance coaching and monitor equipment losses on scorecards and DDS boards.
• Engage in root cause problem-solving utilizing the Initial Problem Solving (IPS) tools and refine CIL and CL schedules based on findings.
• Support maintenance technicians during breakdown eliminations and planned maintenance operations.
• Strive to meet and uphold performance benchmarks defined by Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Steps audits, initially Steps 1-3, expanding to higher steps over time.
• Communicate and collaborate with other Equipment Owners on shared shifts and within the wider EO network to improve processes.
• Contribute to training new hires and agency staff in equipment operation.
• Flexibly adapt to work on different equipment to broaden skill sets and help minimize operational losses.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of two years of prior experience as a machine operator is essential.
