Role Overview and Shift Details
This position involves transitioning to a Weekend Day Shift starting Q4 2026, comprising 12-hour day shifts every Friday to Sunday as well as alternating Thursdays. The work schedule follows a 4-on/3-off and 3-on/4-off repeating pattern. A 15% shift premium applies for Saturday and Sunday work, with no premium for Thursday and Friday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of equipment technicians during shift hours, ensuring safe, efficient, and technically sound completion of tasks.
- Manage and oversee both preventative and corrective maintenance using Maximo software to maintain equipment reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Prioritize and assign maintenance duties, leading corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime and optimize performance.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to technicians by conducting monthly performance reviews and facilitating relevant training to enhance skill levels.
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to align shift operations and support continuous manufacturing efficiency.
- Deliver direct technical leadership during critical situations including equipment failures and escalation events.
- Oversee engineering projects such as facility layout alterations, equipment installations, and validation activities.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on key performance indicators including Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, and maintenance metrics to drive ongoing improvements.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory capacity within an engineering or maintenance function in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Technical proficiency in automated production machinery, including PLC systems, electro-mechanical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Readiness to engage hands-on with equipment in a dynamic, 24/7 manufacturing setting to provide escalation support.
- Strong capability for problem-solving, with a record of implementing process improvements that enhance yield and reduce downtime.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling clear interaction with technicians, engineers, and management.
- Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation to support troubleshooting, equipment modifications, and sustained operations.
- Commitment to occupational safety and compliance, strictly following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all site safety protocols.
- Experience in creating, updating, and maintaining technical and manufacturing documentation.
