Embedded Test AMS Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Join HCL Technologies, a leading global company driving innovation in digital transformation through diverse technology products and services. We are seeking an Embedded Test AMS Software Quality Assurance Engineer to lead testing efforts for embedded systems in IoT and industrial devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional testing of embedded products by executing detailed test cases and validating embedded firmware and software with both manual and automated approaches.
• Develop and manage test strategies, plans, scripts, and defect tracking throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze test results thoroughly, documenting findings and bug reports clearly using defect management tools such as JIRA.
• Collaborate closely with test engineers to design effective test scenarios and maintain test environments.
• Review system specifications to guide comprehensive test coverage and quality assurance processes.
• Conduct troubleshooting and debugging activities to resolve reported issues.
• Coordinate triage of automated test failures by reading logs, executing manual tests, and filing defects.

Required Expertise

• 3 to 6 years of experience in software quality assurance with embedded systems testing.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and test management.
• Proficiency in test strategy, planning, scripting, and defect management tools.
• Familiarity with embedded system devices, IoT platforms, and communication protocols including UART, SPI, I3C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MQTT, HTTP, CoAP, and OTA updates.
• Hands-on experience with electronics testing tools such as simulators, sensors, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
• Ability to manage both manual and automated testing environments effectively.
• Industry experience in Industrial, Electrical, Smart Safety, Healthy Home devices, or IoT projects is preferred.

Additional Information

• Work Location: Noida office, full-time onsite, Monday to Friday.
• Role includes test lead responsibilities ensuring high-quality embedded device testing before software production release.

Eligibility and Education

Applicants must have a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in any specialization.
