Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Driver position located in Singapore involves the safe operation of company trucks to transport carpentry materials, tools, and finished products to various project sites and client locations. Daily duties include loading and unloading cargo, performing vehicle inspections to ensure safety, adhering to assigned delivery schedules, and maintaining precise delivery records.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks safely to transport carpentry-related goods.
• Load and unload materials carefully while securing items properly for transit.
• Conduct routine inspections of vehicles for roadworthiness and report any mechanical concerns.
• Follow delivery routes and schedules diligently using local road knowledge and navigation aids.
• Coordinate effectively with project managers, warehouse personnel, customers, and site teams.
• Comply with traffic regulations and company safety policies.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle reliability.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven expertise in truck driving, particularly in urban and industrial environments.
• Possession of a valid CDL Class A or equivalent heavy vehicle license for truck operation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for professional interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Knowledge of basic truck inspection and maintenance checks, with prompt reporting capabilities.
• Strong familiarity with Singapore’s local routes and ability to manage delivery schedules accurately.
• Physical ability to safely handle and lift carpentry materials and equipment.
• Dependable, punctual, and flexible to work full-time with occasional overtime based on project demands.
• Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics related to construction or interior fit-out projects is beneficial.
