Role overview
Jacobs is looking for an experienced Document Controller to join the Power & Energy team at the project locations in Würzburg and Hannover. The role focuses on keeping project documentation structured, accurate, accessible, and aligned with internal requirements as well as external regulations.

Key responsibilities
- Track documents throughout their full lifecycle, including creation, approval, distribution, revision, and archiving.
- Make sure document handling follows internal policies and industry-specific rules.
- Maintain and organize the document management system.
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and consistency, and update them when needed.
- Work with different teams and stakeholders to collect and validate documents.
- Handle change requests, version control, and document release workflows.
- Ensure documents are delivered on time for internal and external audits.
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements in document management.
Candidate profile
- A completed apprenticeship, degree, or equivalent professional background in a relevant field, or comparable work experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in document control or document management in a similar role.
- Solid understanding of document management standards, practices, and systems.
- Strong organizational ability and a sharp eye for detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Good command of MS Office and other relevant document management tools.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements is an advantage.
