Job description
Overview
ERSG Ltd is seeking a skilled Document Controller to join a prominent engineering and infrastructure company managing significant industrial projects throughout the UK. This role involves working within a growing project delivery team to establish a dedicated Document Control function, supporting both new project mobilisation and the management of existing project documents accurately and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee project documents stored within Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
- Develop document control procedures for incoming projects.
- Prepare and regularly update project data books.
- Create structured work packages and document hierarchies.
- Administer document identification, version tracking, and revision histories.
- Maintain document registers, indexes, and filing arrangements.
- Handle archive and organisation of legacy project documentation.
- Distribute, release, and archive project documentation as needed.
- Collaborate with Quality, HSQE, and delivery teams to ensure documentation adherence and compliance.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as a Document Controller within sectors such as engineering, construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficient with Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
- In-depth understanding of document control workflows, versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Procore and/or Aconex platforms.
- Experience supporting projects in mechanical engineering, industrial plants, process pipelines, or extensive infrastructure.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive project data books.
Contract Details and Benefits
- 12-month contract tenure.
- Engagement classified as Outside IR35.
- Hybrid working model with three days onsite in Warrington and two days remote.
- Participation in prominent engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Immediate availability with interviews planned for the week starting 13th July.
