Job description
Role Overview
The Dispenser will play a vital role within the pharmacy team, aiding pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and effective provision of pharmacy and health services in-store. This position is based in a physical store location within the UK; remote applications or candidates without valid UK working rights and qualifications will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescriptions while ensuring compliance with safety standards for medicine supply, including ordering, labeling, endorsing, and collection processes.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals in the store to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
- Offer patients guidance and advice concerning medicines and refer any complex queries to the Pharmacist.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee safe and lawful dispensing.
- Stay informed about operational updates and innovations, integrating new systems and technologies to enhance patient safety and workflow efficiency.
- Assist patients in managing their prescriptions by supporting reliable repeat services and encouraging proper medicine adherence to minimize waste.
Requirements
- Possession of Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 or equivalent, or currently pursuing with completion of at least the first year of an MPharm degree.
- Valid UK right to work; sponsorship for Skilled Worker Visa is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting is advantageous.
