About the Position

InterContinental The Red Sea, a luxury five-star resort located on Shura Island in Umluj, Saudi Arabia, seeks a highly experienced Director of Security to lead the resort's security operations. The property features 178 luxury rooms and 32 suites nestled among lagoons and mangroves. This pivotal leadership role demands developing and maintaining security policies and ensuring a safe environment that fulfills the highest hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and uphold comprehensive security strategies, policies, and procedures covering all areas of the resort.
• Lead and nurture a proficient security team, promoting vigilance, professionalism, and exceptional guest service.
• Perform regular risk evaluations across guest areas, event venues, dining spaces, and operational zones to identify and reduce security threats.
• Supervise maintenance and usage of security technologies such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
• Manage security incidents with thorough investigations and detailed reporting to senior leadership.
• Serve as the main point of contact with local law enforcement, government entities, and emergency responders.
• Develop, implement, and train staff on crisis management and emergency response protocols.
• Oversee the security budget, including forecasting and resource management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local safety and security regulations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Extensive experience in senior security roles, ideally in luxury hotels or high-end resorts.
• Proven record of managing and developing sizable security teams.
• Strong understanding of current security methodologies, technologies, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and staff.
• Skilled in problem-solving, organization, and decisive action-taking.
• Capable of maintaining composure and authority under pressure.
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
• Relevant academic degree or professional certification in security management or related field preferred.
