DevOps Engineer

Overview

This opportunity requires candidates to hold an active Security Clearance (SC) and be eligible for Developed Vetting (DV). The role necessitates working onsite four days a week in London. We seek an engineer who naturally questions existing manual procedures and aims to devise smarter, automated solutions. Understanding system interactions, infrastructure performance under load, and simplifying complex setups via automation are at the core of this position.

You'll join two collaborative teams working on a mission-critical program that develops essential business systems relied upon daily. Working alongside developers, clients, and skilled engineers, you'll engage in modern DevOps practices, fostering continuous learning and impactful automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and prototype innovative solutions addressing real-world client challenges.
• Design and implement automation that empowers developers and streamlines delivery processes.
• Create reliable, secure, and efficient CI/CD pipelines to facilitate software deployment.
• Participate in peer reviews, provide constructive feedback, and troubleshoot issues for system stability.
• Document best practices and maintain knowledge sharing, staying updated on emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possess active SC security clearance with eligibility for DV.
• Demonstrate a proactive, learning-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Basic proficiency in programming or scripting languages.
• Understanding of cloud-native technologies, particularly AWS, Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK), and container platforms like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Foundational skills in version control (Git), database management, APIs, and strong attention to information security.
