DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We seek a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, tasked with upholding system reliability and overseeing the design, automation, and maintenance of infrastructure and deployment pipelines for critical products such as On-Demand Connectivity (ODC) and eUICC IoT Manager (eIM).

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code concepts while managing reliable CI/CD pipelines through GitLab.
• Deploy, configure, and administrate Kubernetes environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Own production systems with accountability for monitoring, incident handling, and ensuring compliance with stringent service level agreements (SLAs).
• Facilitate integration efforts and provide technical support across development, validation teams, and customers; participate in 24/7 onsite shifts and Change Advisory Board reviews.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documents, customer acceptance criteria, and operational readiness assessments to foster continual improvement.
• Support team development via sharing knowledge, conducting training, and enhancing processes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Over 4 years' background in system administration, solutions delivery, or integration engineering, with experience managing high-availability production environments and knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) practices including incident, change, problem management, and SLA adherence.
• Proficient with public cloud platforms (primarily GCP), Kubernetes orchestration, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and secrets management tools like Vault.
• Experienced in automation and scripting with Bash, Python, or Perl, including Terraform and Helm for infrastructure provisioning and package management.
• Solid Linux expertise (minimum three years) and strong networking knowledge encompassing IPv4, subnetting, TCP/IP, and packet routing.
• In-depth understanding of HTTP(S), SOAP, RESTful APIs, Apache web server configuration, SSL/TLS/mTLS security protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Cassandra and MySQL databases.
• Preferred experience in telecommunications domain with eSIM (e.g., SGP22/32) technology and telecommunication infrastructures.
• Familiarity with Java development is highly advantageous.
