Job Overview

Vogue is looking for an experienced Senior Designer based in New York, NY who possesses a refined visual aesthetic coupled with a profound understanding of fashion, culture, and storytelling for diverse media platforms. This role demands a conceptual thinker skilled in multi-platform design, visual strategies, typography, animation, and innovative creative development. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and able to juggle numerous rapid projects while upholding exceptional creative quality.

Primary Responsibilities

• Craft visually striking editorial designs across platforms including digital, social media, print, experiential, and branded content that evolve Vogue's visual identity
• Work collaboratively with the Design Director and cross-disciplinary teams to create concepts, moodboards, and unified visual narratives
• Develop creative assets and establish design frameworks for Vogue’s major events, social campaigns, newsletters, marketing efforts, and key editorial projects
• Produce original collages, motion graphics, presentations, and other visual deliverables for editorial and marketing use
• Coordinate with editorial, social, video, and marketing departments to bring ideas to life visually across formats
• Support illustration projects, manage timelines, and participate in creative reviews when required
• Assist the Art Department in delivering a variety of creative and routine initiatives

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in media, fashion, publishing, or creative fields related to design
• An impressive portfolio showcasing sophisticated typography, conceptual design, visual storytelling, and versatility across editorial, digital, social, and motion graphics
• Strong knowledge of brand identity systems with an aptitude to maintain consistency while introducing fresh concepts
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills paired with meticulous attention to detail
• Capacity to handle multiple deadlines and fast-paced projects without quality sacrifice
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding design projects from initial idea to final production
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite—especially Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator—and familiarity with Figma and other current design software
• Experience with motion and video design tools including After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Ability to rapidly create polished presentations using Keynote and Google Slides
• Keen interest and understanding of fashion, photography, culture, entertainment, beauty, and wellness media sectors

Compensation and Employment Details

The position offers a base salary range between $69,000 and $80,000, with final offers reflecting various factors such as skills, experience, education, and training.
