Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Subject Matter Expert based in Abu Dhabi to lead and advance our enterprise data governance initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing data governance programs and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data management, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience specializing in data governance, data management, and enterprise data strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to implement comprehensive, large-scale data governance programs effectively.
- Strong background in designing, establishing, and operationalizing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks and models.
- Practical experience with dataset inventorying, implementing data catalogs, classifying data, and setting up data quality rules.
- Familiarity with data governance and catalog tools such as Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, or equivalent platforms.
- Adept at ensuring that governance policies are enforced appropriately through systems and processes.
- Capable of balancing the demands of business objectives, governance requirements, and technical constraints.
