Data Analyst, Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce (WWRR)

Join Amazon's Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce (WWRR) team, focused on achieving zero costs in returns, zero waste, and zero defects to advance benefits for customers, the company, and the environment. Our agile and inclusive team consists of professionals in business, product, operations, data, and software engineering who oversee the management of returned and damaged products. The team works towards helping customers find excellent deals on quality used, rental, and open-box items, while optimizing product value and enhancing return processes.

In this role as a Data Analyst, you will apply advanced data modeling, mining, and visualization techniques to uncover insights, identify opportunities, and support business decisions. Collaboration with internal and cross-functional partners is essential to develop scalable, automated solutions that address customer challenges and drive operational effectiveness. You will digest complex datasets, communicate findings effectively to non-technical audiences, and influence strategies that impact Amazon's bottom line.

Primary Responsibilities

• Utilize analytics and data mining approaches to resolve complex issues and guide business choices.
• Apply appropriate methodologies to detect patterns of risks and abuses to reduce bad debt.
• Analyze customer buying behaviors and propose hypotheses for policy modifications.
• Conduct analytical problem-solving and clearly communicate techniques and outcomes.
• Create analyses supporting product launches and deliver strategic recommendations.
• Generate dashboards and visualizations to reveal trends, anomalies, and insights.
• Engage closely with business, engineering, and partner teams to align objectives and focus areas.

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 2 years of program or project management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• 3+ years serving as a maintenance planner/scheduler within industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or distribution sectors.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for 3+ years.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or 2+ years of full-time Amazon RME (BB/3P) experience.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of Lean principles and DMAIC process improvement methodology.
• Experience with MS Access and SQL database tools.
• Skilled in gathering requirements and drafting detailed documentation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project software.
• Knowledge of material handling systems (MHS) including installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Experience collaborating in analytical environments across cross-functional teams.

Compensation includes a base salary between $80,200 to $97,400 per year, along with sign-on bonuses and restricted stock units (RSUs).
