About the Role
Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and innovative Data Analyst to join the WSI Sourcing team. This role involves transforming complex and raw datasets into actionable insights that will guide critical business decisions. The successful candidate will utilize advanced data analytics, automation, and AI-driven technologies to enhance operational workflows, optimize reporting, and support data-driven strategies for the sourcing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the WSI Sourcing business procedures and data requirements.
- Analyze data using statistical methods to generate insightful reports, dashboards, and business intelligence.
- Develop and deploy data collection systems, analytics methodologies, and automated solutions aimed at boosting efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Collect data from primary and secondary databases and ensure its accuracy within company systems.
- Detect and interpret trends, irregularities, and patterns in complex datasets to aid decision-making processes.
- Design, refine, and optimize data models, ETL workflows, and reporting mechanisms.
- Perform data cleansing by reviewing reports, system outputs, and key performance indicators to maintain data quality.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders and management to prioritize analytical needs and deliver pertinent solutions.
- Identify and recommend process improvements based on data insights, automation opportunities, and new technologies.
- Assess, suggest, and incorporate AI-based tools to empower team productivity, enhance data access, and facilitate better business decisions.
- Advocate and enforce best practices related to data governance, data quality management, automation, and ethical AI utilization.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- At least three years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
- Proven track record supporting business functions via data-driven insights, reporting, and initiatives aimed at process enhancement.
- Expertise in creating and managing data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
- Advanced proficiency with writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries.
- Strong analytical capabilities to organize, examine, and disseminate large volumes of information meticulously and accurately.
- Experience leveraging AI-driven solutions for data analysis, automated reporting, workflow enhancement, knowledge management, or decision support is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools and prompt engineering approaches, including ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Power BI Copilot, Azure OpenAI, or similar technologies.
- Capacity to spot opportunities where AI can deliver operational benefits and business value, ensuring responsible usage.
