Data Analyst

Overview

Elder Research Inc., a subsidiary of MANTECH International Corporation, is looking for a dedicated Data Analyst to join their hybrid team based in Arlington, VA, preferably near Washington DC. This role involves collaborating with experienced Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and Data Engineers to develop bespoke analytical solutions for federal government clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning, managing, and processing extensive datasets.
• Creating dashboards and reports using visualization platforms like Power BI and Tableau.
• Applying strong analytical skills to identify and resolve complex data challenges.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.
• Communicating findings effectively to stakeholders across various levels.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in data analysis or data management.
• Bachelor's degree in fields related to statistics, computer science, economics, mathematics, analytics, data science, data engineering, business, or social sciences.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for exploring and analyzing data.
• Understanding of database concepts and database design.
• Holding an IRS Public Trust clearance with full background investigation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree such as MS in analytics, computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or related areas.
• Experience or knowledge related to fraud detection or management.
• Based in the DC Metro area to attend in-person meetings regularly.
• Skills in statistical or predictive analysis.

Physical and Work Conditions

• Ability to remain seated for approximately 50% of the work time.
• Occasional movement within the office to access equipment and files.
• Frequent communication including presenting information to colleagues and management.
