Job Overview

This role focuses on delivering precise, prompt, and insightful financial analyses and reports to support the Commercial Lines business's performance and strategic decisions. The position involves consolidating and validating financial data, producing management reports, creating performance dashboards, identifying key business trends, as well as assisting in budgeting and forecasting. The candidate will work with cross-departmental teams and implement automation to maintain data integrity, boost operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making aligned with financial and commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial datasets and generate monthly management reports aimed at enhancing Commercial Lines performance.
• Gather, validate, reconcile, and manage financial information sourced from various internal systems.
• Conduct variance analysis to detect trends, irregularities, and factors driving business outcomes.
• Create and upkeep dashboards, key performance indicators, and automated reports for finance and business stakeholders.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning using comprehensive data analysis.
• Ensure all financial data is accurate, consistent, and complies with reporting standards and internal controls.
• Engage with Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, and Business units to provide insights grounded in data.
• Automate repetitive reporting tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload, document these processes, and propose ongoing improvements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in data analysis, financial reporting, or business intelligence within insurance or financial services sectors is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, Profit & Loss analysis, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including functions, PivotTables, and Power Query.
• Experience in using Business Intelligence software such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and decision-making skills.
