Role Overview

The Institutional Excellence Directorate at UDST is seeking a Data Analysis and Research Specialist. Reporting to the Manager of Institutional Research, this role demands leadership and expertise to advance the university’s mission by promoting institutional effectiveness through research-driven activities.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive data analyses evaluating the performance of individual training providers within the institution.
• Assist in interpreting statistical data and generate analytical reports that inform strategic planning and decision-making.
• Compile accurate and prompt reports detailing institutional effectiveness trends and recommend improvement areas.
• Adhere strictly to policies on confidentiality, conflict of interest, risk management, complaints, and data handling; promptly report any violations.
• Conduct ongoing and special research projects on institutional-impacting topics to support assessment and enhancement of administrative and academic programs, student services, and overall student success.
• Support the development and application of databases, data collection frameworks, and analytical methods to boost data quality and processing efficiency.
• Contribute to preparing annual institutional reports and publications, providing technical know-how regarding data storage, mining, and cleansing techniques.
• Ensure compliance with both internal policies and governmental regulations concerning data confidentiality and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience performing similar duties is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English is required.
• Proficiency in Arabic, both written and spoken, is advantageous.
