About the Role
We are looking for a knowledgeable Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Cybersecurity Specialist to enhance the security frameworks for ICS and Operational Technology (OT) environments. This role focuses on protecting critical industrial control systems through comprehensive risk assessments, implementation of security measures, continuous monitoring, and rapid incident response while ensuring compliance with established industry standards such as ISA/IEC 62443.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain cybersecurity safeguards specifically for ICS and OT setups.
- Create and update policies, strategies, standards, and procedures related to OT cybersecurity.
- Implement multi-layered security defenses within industrial environments ensuring secure operation of essential infrastructure and automation systems.
- Protect and support technologies like SCADA, DCS, PLCs, SIS, HMIs, engineering workstations, historians, and industrial data networks.
- Configure and enhance system security through asset hardening and secure configurations.
- Conduct comprehensive cybersecurity risk and vulnerability assessments, providing recommendations and overseeing remediation until completion.
- Monitor security events in OT environments with SIEM tools and manage IDS/IPS to detect and respond to incidents promptly including root cause analysis and recovery coordination.
- Secure industrial network infrastructure by managing firewalls, network traffic, segmentation, remote access, and promoting Zero Trust where applicable.
- Manage system hardening, patching, and baseline security adherence aligned with OEM guidelines and best practices.
- Ensure adherence to ISA/IEC 62443 standards, NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks, organizational policies, and support related audits while maintaining documentation of cybersecurity policies, reports, and incident logs.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, IT, and security teams along with vendors to implement cybersecurity enhancements across industrial activities.
- Conduct cybersecurity training and awareness programs to promote best practices and technical knowledge among engineering and operational personnel.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Control Systems, Control Systems Engineering, Industrial Automation, or Industrial Operations.
- At least 3 years of focused experience in ICS/OT Cybersecurity.
- Industry experience preferred in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Energy, Utilities, or similar process sectors.
