Role Overview

We are looking for a Crusher Operator to work at our facility in Riyadh. This role involves controlling primary and secondary crushing equipment for ore processing in preparation for downstream heap leaching or milling. The operator must manage equipment settings to achieve consistent throughput and particle size, while strictly following safety and operational procedures in a heavy industrial environment. The role reports to the Plant & Heap Leach Superintendent and is vital in maintaining plant productivity and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate gyratory and cone crushers to meet throughput and particle size goals by adjusting settings and monitoring equipment performance.
• Implement lockout/tagout safety measures before maintenance or clearing to safeguard personnel.
• Perform daily inspections of crusher components such as liners, mantles, and conveyor belts, reporting issues to maintenance to avoid downtime.
• Log production data including hourly tonnage, downtime causes, and operational parameters in control systems.
• Clear blockages like tramp metal and bridged materials safely using correct tools and permits for confined space work if needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area by removing ore spills and debris, operating dust suppression systems to comply with environmental standards.
• Communicate detailed shift handover reports to incoming operators to ensure smooth transitions and awareness of operational conditions.
• Support maintenance activities during liner changes and major repairs by providing necessary isolation and safety preparations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational certification in mechanical or industrial disciplines.
• Minimum three years’ practical experience operating crushing or comminution equipment in the mining sector.
• Valid Saudi driving license and fitness certification for industrial workplaces.
• Knowledge and experience with safety systems including lockout/tagout and permit-to-work procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and operational instructions in English.
• Physical capacity to work outdoors in high temperatures and perform manual handling.
• Understanding of mechanical components such as hydraulics and conveyor systems.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to gold mining and heap leach feed operations.
• Certification in heavy equipment operation.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management software.
• Knowledge of Saudi environmental industrial emission regulations.

• Maintaining crusher uptime above 95% through proactive care.
• Consistent achievement of daily production goals and required particle size quality.
• Accurate, timely logging of production and shift records.
• Effective, minimal-impact clearance of crusher blockages.

• Completion of all technical competency tests successfully.
