Role Overview
Audiohook is looking for a seasoned Creative Director to steer the creative vision and execution across marketing efforts, branding, and client campaigns. This leadership role requires a hands-on approach to set the creative direction, nurture a talented team, and transform business goals into captivating creative executions, especially within the audio advertising sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and define the creative strategy for Audiohook's brand, marketing initiatives, and client-based campaigns.
- Manage the creative process from ideation to final delivery, ensuring all outputs are high-quality and aligned with brand standards.
- Collaborate closely with teams in Marketing, Sales, and Product to ensure creative efforts align with company objectives.
- Recruit, lead, and support a team consisting of designers, copywriters, and other creative professionals, including in-house and freelance members.
- Maintain and enhance brand guidelines, visual identities, and messaging frameworks.
- Effectively communicate creative ideas and justifications to internal stakeholders and external clients or partners as needed.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and manage relationships with vendors and freelancers.
- Keep abreast of latest trends in digital advertising, with a focus on audio and podcast media.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of six years in creative leadership roles such as Creative Director or Associate Creative Director, preferably in advertising, media, or adtech.
- Proven success managing creative teams and executing diverse campaigns across multiple media formats and channels.
- Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual ideas, brand storytelling, and skillful design and copy execution.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities with capacity to promote creative concepts at all organizational levels.
- Experience overseeing creative operations including managing schedules, budgets, and working cross-functionally.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and multitask effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in crafting or supervising audio advertising and podcast-specific creative content such as host-read scripts and produced audio spots.
- Understanding of the podcast and audio media space, recognizing its unique creative challenges and opportunities.
- Experience with adtech or programmatic/digital media platforms.
