About the Role
You will be responsible for driving efficient Food and Beverage cost management by closely monitoring consumption, procurement, and stock levels. Ensuring accuracy, profitability, and adherence to budget plans are central to this position. Additionally, your insights will aid in making informed decisions that safeguard the hotel’s profit margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate daily and monthly reports on Food and Beverage costs.
- Set and maintain appropriate stock levels for the main store and outlets, including conducting monthly spot checks.
- Track and report on slow-moving stock items.
- Participate in monthly stocktaking for main stores and points of sale, ensuring reconciliation between stock and sales.
- Complete month-end closing procedures using SCM inventory software and create variance reports for management review.
- Prepare journal entries related to food and beverage cost calculations at month-end.
- Support the Food & Beverage team in menu and special event costing efforts.
- Analyze sales mix data to monitor item sales for management decisions.
- Update pricing and add new menu items in billing software.
- Oversee invoice verification for items entered in inventory software and perform reconciliations during accounting software migration.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Well organized with the ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong leadership qualities alongside effective communication skills.
- Minimum of a School Certificate qualification and at least three years' experience in purchasing and cost control.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), SCM system, and Sun Systems software.
