Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and diligent Cleaner to join our team at Arriva Group, based in Hemel Hempstead. This role involves maintaining a safe, spotless, and welcoming environment for both employees and passengers by ensuring our buses, depots, and office spaces meet high cleanliness standards.

Key Duties

• Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitation of assigned areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and shared zones.
• Restock cleaning and hygiene materials as necessary.
• Empty waste containers and handle rubbish disposal carefully and properly.
• Clean interior bus elements such as seats, floors, windows, and driver compartments.
• Conduct deep cleaning tasks including floor scrubbing, window washing, and surface polishing.
• Report any maintenance requirements, damages, or safety hazards encountered.
• Operate cleaning tools and chemicals safely according to company guidelines.
• Work both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Prior experience in cleaning roles is helpful but not mandatory; comprehensive training is provided.
• Strong commitment to work and eye for detail.
• Good understanding of health and safety protocols.
• Consistent punctuality, reliability, and a positive work attitude.
• Capable of working alone and cooperatively.
• Physical fitness to perform manual cleaning tasks.
