Job Overview

This is an on-call, remote position based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, requiring candidates to reside in the same locality. Although remote, attendance at local offices, meetings, training sessions, or company events may be required occasionally.

About the Role

The cleaning team plays a vital role in preparing residential properties at various stages such as after tenant move-outs, post-maintenance, before new occupant arrivals, or general upkeep of occupied homes. Tasks are varied and involve thorough cleaning activities to ensure properties are ready for their next phase.

Typical Responsibilities

• Conduct move-out cleaning for residential rental properties.
• Perform turnover cleaning for vacant units.
• Do deep cleaning following maintenance, repairs, or renovations.
• Prepare homes before new residents move in.
• Carry out housekeeping services for occupied residences as scheduled.
• Clean across kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Detail clean appliances, cabinets, closets, baseboards, windowsills, and other areas.
• Engage in dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, and debris removal.
• Complete final inspections and take photos when required before closing assignments.
• Report any damage, maintenance concerns, or cleaning issues needing follow-up.
• Use a mobile app to update assignments and travel directly between locations.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of two years of paid professional cleaning experience.
• Ability to work independently on residential cleaning assignments.
• Experience in move-out, turnover, deep cleaning, or housekeeping roles.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in performing consistent, high-quality work.
• Ability to identify and report issues instead of ignoring them.
• Professional communication skills with both customers and operations team.
• Possession of a reliable vehicle and own cleaning supplies and equipment.
• A smartphone compatible with GPS, mobile work applications, camera functions for photo submissions, and job updates.
• Basic proficiency in English for communication.
• Dependable attendance and excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Experience

• Residential turnover cleaning and property turnover preparation.
• Post-maintenance or post-renovation cleaning.
• Apartment and condominium cleaning experience.
• Move-in and move-out cleaning.
• Experience working in high-volume residential cleaning settings.
