Civil Inspector - QE Approved

Role overview

A major construction project is seeking a Civil QC Inspector who already holds QE approval. The position is based in Ras Laffan, Qatar, and requires strong experience in civil quality control on demanding industrial projects.

Required qualification and profile

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering is needed.
• The candidate must have a current and valid Qatar Energy approval as a QC Civil Inspector that can be verified.
• A minimum of 5 years of focused civil quality control experience in the GCC is required, ideally on heavy industrial, oil and gas, or petrochemical jobs.
• The applicant must already be in Qatar with a valid QID and a transferable visa or NOC.
• The role requires readiness for an immediate in-person interview and the ability to mobilize to Ras Laffan without delay.

Key duties

• Carry out day-to-day QA/QC inspections across civil works, including earthworks, concrete placement, reinforcement fixing, formwork, and structural steel installation.
• Verify that all site activities comply with Qatar Energy requirements, Qatar Construction Specifications, and approved Inspection and Test Plans.
• Arrange and observe third-party laboratory testing such as soil compaction, concrete cylinder/cube tests, and asphalt tests to confirm material compliance.
• Prepare, examine, and approve Requests for Inspection with client representatives, while keeping detailed QA/QC logs and inspection documentation up to date.
• Spot non-conformities on site, raise NCRs, and follow through on corrective and preventive action closure.
