Chief Operating Officer (COO)

About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is tasked with supervising and managing all operational activities across VEX Group and its subsidiary units. Acting as the core coordinator, the COO ensures structural alignment and integration within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all operational functions within the group.
• Lead coordination among teams based in Dubai, Colombia, Mexico, and other international offices.
• Monitor departmental goals and key performance indicators.
• Synchronize operations and manage related brands within the group.
• Oversee budgeting, projects, marketing campaigns, and new product launches.
• Prepare comprehensive reports for presentation to the Board of Directors.
• Develop and enforce processes, policies, and procedures to overcome interdepartmental challenges.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Fluency in native Spanish and advanced English (C1) for direct communication with financial institutions, payment service providers, regulators, auditors, and international partners. Must be capable of Board presentations and negotiations in English.
• A minimum of 7 years in operations leadership roles, preferably within brokers, proprietary trading firms, fintech, or financial services sectors.
• Proven experience managing distributed teams across multiple nations and time zones.
• Strong understanding of trading business operations and associated risks beyond general financial knowledge.
• Experience collaborating with Compliance and Legal departments in regulated environments.
• Track record of establishing operational procedures and reporting frameworks from scratch.
• Availability for work Monday through Saturday between 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., including in-office presence for 8 hours daily (Monday to Friday 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. and Saturday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.), and readiness to travel as required.

Preferred but Not Required

• Prior work experience in the UAE or MENA markets.
• Knowledge of Arabic language is advantageous for local institutional and banking engagements but not mandatory.
• A practical, action-oriented mindset focused on operational execution rather than solely strategic design.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a monthly salary of AED 12,000 plus commission incentives. Visa sponsorship is provided by the employer.
