Role overview

This position is for a senior finance leader based in Berlin, Germany, responsible for steering finance across a healthcare and care-focused group. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in financial matters across portfolio companies and requires close collaboration with the owner.

Key responsibilities

• Build a strong understanding of the full finance value chain within the healthcare and care sector.
• Maintain clear visibility into the group’s performance, financial resilience, and economic development.
• Act as the owner’s financial representative and influence financial assessment, control, and decision-making directly.
• Work deeply on finance-related issues across the invested companies.
• Spot areas for improvement and turn them into concrete actions.
• Advance finance structures, processes, and governance.
• Support the transformation, integration, and continued development of the portfolio structure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
• Strong background in the healthcare and/or care sector.
• Deep expertise in accounting, controlling, reporting, treasury, and financial management.
• Experience in complex corporate or holding structures.
• Ability to critically assess existing structures and improve them in a targeted way.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of independence.
• Assertive and confident, while remaining diplomatic.
• Trusted personality with a strong sense of integrity.
• Excellent German and English skills.
