Enduring Investment Partners is moving forward with an acquisition of an established industrial and technical services firm based in Queensland. This company offers specialized equipment, preventative maintenance, servicing, and technical support to clients in defense, mining, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. It boasts a solid reputation, a skilled workforce, and a stable base of recurring revenue from service and maintenance contracts.

We are looking for a distinguished CEO in Residence or Operating Partner. This role begins by collaborating with the investment team during acquisition proceedings and transitions into the CEO position post-acquisition to guide the company into its next growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with due diligence and plan for a smooth transition.
• Develop the initial 100-day operational strategy.
• Evaluate organizational structure, systems, and management.
• Craft a clear strategy for growth and value creation.
• Establish strong partnerships with current owners, staff, and key clients.
• Lead the company's overall strategy, daily operations, and financial results.
• Assemble a competent and accountable management team.
• Enhance operational processes, reporting mechanisms, and performance metrics.
• Bolster sales and business development capabilities.
• Increase recurring service and maintenance revenue streams.
• Explore and penetrate new customer groups, industries, and geographic markets.
• Maintain rigorous attention to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Identify and integrate strategic bolt-on acquisitions.
• Collaborate closely with the EIP board on strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and expansion plans.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a commercially astute operator with proven success in leading, scaling, or transforming industrial or technical services businesses. Potentially relevant backgrounds include:

• CEO, General Manager, COO, or senior divisional leadership roles.
• Industrial, technical, or mechanical services sectors.
• Engineering, field service, or maintenance experience.
• Defense, mining, or infrastructure services.
• Specialist equipment distribution and aftermarket servicing.
• Safety-critical or regulated service environments.
• Tier 1 management consulting with a focus on operational and performance improvements, including experience in operational transformations, field service optimization, organizational design, sales-force effectiveness, procurement, margin improvement, or post-acquisition value creation.

Candidates from consulting should have hands-on experience working directly with management teams to implement change, not just strategic advice.
