Job Overview

Join Sri Maha Ladies Hostel as a CCTV Technician responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining surveillance camera systems across hostel premises. The role requires ensuring reliable operation, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams to maintain security infrastructure effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and upkeep CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR devices, and associated security equipment.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Diagnose and repair faults in cameras, network connections, and recording devices.
• Verify continuous recording and back up footage as needed.
• Liaise with internet service providers and networking partners for issue resolution.
• Keep detailed logs of installation, repair, and maintenance operations.
• Respond swiftly to urgent repair calls and technical emergencies.
• Ensure all security devices function correctly at various hostel locations.
• Follow prescribed safety guidelines during installations and corrective work.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completed ITI or Diploma, or equivalent certification in Electronics, Electrical, or a related technical field.
• At least one to two years' experience specializing in CCTV system installation and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of IP camera technology, DVR/NVR systems, networking fundamentals, and basic electrical tasks.
• Capable of independently troubleshooting technical problems and implementing solutions.
• Prepared to commute between Sri Maha Hostel branches within Chennai.
• Strong communication skills coupled with a professional and accountable work ethic.
