CAD Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Design Engineer with strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and proficiency across multiple native CAD platforms including SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Solid Edge, and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in weldment and sheet metal design, piping systems, and electrical routing design, as well as familiarity with EPLAN for integrating electrical schematics into mechanical designs. A solid understanding of GD&T, BOM management, and engineering documentation standards is essential. Prior involvement in CAD data migration or conversion projects is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive CAD conversion projects encompassing weldment, mechanical, piping, and electrical parts and routing into Autodesk Inventor.
• Coordinate technical planning, assign work, and maintain quality standards for the conversion team.
• Liaise directly with US clients to collect requirements, clarify design intent, present progress updates, and resolve technical questions.
• Develop and improve conversion methodologies, templates, and standards to ensure consistent quality deliverables.
• Review outputs from team members, mentor junior engineers, and ensure high-quality, first-time-right conversions.
• Collaborate closely with EPLAN and electrical design teams to ensure schematic and 3D routing alignment.
• Manage project schedules, escalate risks as necessary, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
