Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Butcher to prepare, present, and sell high-quality meat products. This role includes mentoring Meat Assistants, guiding customers in choosing the ideal cut with personalized advice not available in supermarkets.

Key Responsibilities

• Break down, bone, portion, and prepare meat according to Harris Farm specifications.
• Deliver consistently precise cuts, ensuring accurate weight, trimming, and presentation that meet standards.
• Create value-added products including marinades, skewers, burger patties, sausages, and roasts.
• Conduct quality inspections on all deliveries and reject items that don’t meet company standards.
• Utilize expert judgment to minimize waste by converting trimmings into marketable products.

Candidate Profile

• Passionate about food and protein, with prior experience in fresh food retail.
• Excellent communicator able to support the Butcher Manager and lead in their absence.
• Capable of training new team members in company culture and technical skills.
• Maintain rigorous cold chain controls, hygiene, and food safety during every shift.
• Keep work areas such as blocks, boards, counters, and tools impeccably clean, reflecting professional pride.
