Business Planning Associate - Regional Logistics

About the Team

Our team forms the strategic core of Shopee's regional logistics network, overseeing financial forecasting, comprehensive data analysis, and multifaceted cost optimisation efforts across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil. We collaborate closely with operational leaders to tackle complex logistics challenges, enhance efficiency, and develop business strategies suited for executive-level presentations.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the creation of detailed financial plans and forecasts aligned with corporate strategic goals; continuously monitor financial performance against these forecasts to identify trends, risks, and areas for financial optimisation.
• Drive innovative projects from conception to completion by addressing various operational challenges with a focus on cost reduction and improving process effectiveness.
• Produce detailed financial reports and interactive dashboards that provide actionable insights to influence strategic decision-making.
• Perform comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to guide strategic business planning.
• Work collaboratively with the Operations team to plan, oversee, and manage operational expenditures, developing a deep understanding of the factors driving financial results to support project planning and execution.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accountancy or a closely related field; a master’s degree is a plus but not mandatory.
• Relevant experience in strategy development, financial planning, and analysis, ideally within e-commerce, logistics, consulting, or similar sectors.
• A strategic mindset with robust analytical capabilities.
• Proactive leadership skills to effectively drive projects to completion while fostering collaboration among diverse functional teams.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written, capable of presenting complex financial data clearly to various stakeholder levels.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Knowledge of SQL is advantageous.
