Role Overview
As a Business Development Associate focusing on Medtech, you'll join the Life Sciences & Healthcare division in Toronto and play a crucial part in expanding our customer network. Your main goal will be to foster meaningful client relationships, execute targeted territory and account strategies, and propose solutions tailored to each customer’s needs. Success in this role entails managing portfolios, collaborating cross-functionally, and contributing toward revenue growth, always maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Meet and surpass sales targets by actively seeking new business opportunities and finding areas for upselling within existing accounts.
- Deliver precise sales forecasts to leadership through regular communication and reporting.
- Engage and collaborate with existing and prospective customers, adhering to the company's established sales processes.
- Identify and present solutions that resolve customer pain points effectively.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle: from needs assessment through product presentation, quoting, negotiations, and final closure.
- Deepen your knowledge of the company's product portfolio to remain adept at positioning solutions effectively.
- Participate in meetings and business events, sharing insights and updates with the broader sales and account teams.
- Maintain required meeting quotas set by Sales Management to ensure sustained engagement and productivity.
- Expand business within existing accounts by seeking new contacts and opportunities.
Team Environment
You will collaborate within a global sales ecosystem, working closely with professionals across Product Sales, Customer Success, Education, and Professional Services to drive account retention and growth.
Work Arrangement and Travel
- This is a hybrid role, requiring in-office presence up to three days each week.
- Expect to travel within the United States up to 20% of the time for client meetings and industry conferences.
Candidate Background
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is mandatory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and technical troubleshooting tools is desirable.
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms is beneficial.
- Relevant sales-related certifications are a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base annual salary ranges from $41,600 to $52,000 CAD, with additional eligibility for performance incentives or bonuses.
