Job Details

Role: Business Analyst
Contract Duration: 6 months with potential extension
Location: Rosemead, CA (Two days on-site, hybrid work model)
Education: Bachelor's degree required

Role Summary and Responsibilities

• Act as a key liaison transforming business needs into actionable user stories and requirements to streamline digital product delivery.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, business stakeholders, UX designers, and technical teams to ensure tasks are clearly defined, prioritized, and development-ready.
• Gather and analyze requirements; document business processes, user stories, acceptance criteria, and support backlog management.
• Facilitate delivery activities ensuring solutions align with business goals.

Key Tasks

• Engage with Product Managers and stakeholders to comprehend business objectives, customer requirements, workflows, and goals.
• Translate complex needs into detailed, actionable functional requirements.
• Document business rules, workflows, decision logic, dependencies, and exception scenarios.
• Identify gaps, risks, assumptions, and dependencies in requirements.
• Create precise user stories with comprehensive acceptance criteria suitable for Agile development.
• Manage and assist with prioritization and grooming of the product backlog.
• Ensure stories meet "Definition of Ready" standards before development commencement.
• Oversee dependency tracking across various teams and projects.
• Provide clarifications during development, collaborating with developers, testers, architects, UX, and product teams to eliminate uncertainties.
• Support User Acceptance Testing by validating delivered features against requirements, documenting defects, and coordinating stakeholder approvals.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst focused on software, digital, or technology projects.
• Experience supporting customer-facing digital platforms including web, mobile, self-service, or contact center solutions.
• Proficient in creating detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for Agile teams.
• Skilled in product backlog management and refinement.
• Strong understanding of product development methodologies and capacity to analyze business processes to technology requirements.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Aha!, and Figma.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing process flows, journey maps, wireframes, or workflows.
• Knowledge of UX design principles and customer experience best practices.
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise projects.
• Understanding of utility, energy, customer service, billing, payments, or digital customer experience sectors.
