Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant

Role overview

A growing and innovative professional services accounting practice is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to support a portfolio of business clients. In this position, you will assist the Head of Bookkeeping with the day-to-day running of the division and gain exposure across a broad client base.

Key duties

• Handle payroll processing end to end, including payroll tax matters
• Manage job budgets, timesheets, and related administrative tasks
• Prepare quarterly and monthly BAS statements
• Compile and review monthly reporting
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Candidate profile

• Strong prior bookkeeping experience is required, ideally around 2 years in an accounting or bookkeeping firm
• Up-to-date knowledge of awards and their application in payroll situations
• Confident using Xero and MYOB
