Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Backend/API Developer specialized in Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions with 5 to 7 years of expertise. The selected candidate will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing scalable backend services and APIs that support key business applications and improve CPQ operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust backend services and APIs meeting business needs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze CPQ requirements.
- Optimize CPQ workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure high performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews and provide feedback to peers.
- Identify and resolve bugs promptly to maintain system stability.
- Keep updated on emerging backend development and CPQ trends and technologies.
- Maintain thorough documentation of development activities, code changes, and system setups.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Strong expertise in CPQ solution development and integration.
- Proficiency in backend programming languages like Java, Python or Node.js.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Good knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum software development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Basic knowledge of frontend web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools and best practices.
- Experience working with microservices architecture.
- Understanding security principles related to API development.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
Additional Information
This is an onsite position based in Chennai, India. Candidates with 5 to 7 years of backend development and API integration experience and proven competencies in CPQ will be preferred. The role demands strong analytical thinking and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within teams.
