Job Purpose

The role of Associate Director of Finance is critical for guiding financial strategy and operations within the Mobility Team. This newly introduced position emphasizes building strong business partnerships, leveraging financial planning and analysis to monitor business performance, ensure budgeting and forecasting accuracy, and support operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish the finance business partnering function by analyzing ongoing activities and interpreting budget performance to inform strategic direction.
• Provide regular, insightful financial reports to mobility and operations leadership, aligning with group reporting standards.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes consistent with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and KPIs collaboratively to track business performance.
• Drive value addition within finance functions and overall business subsidiaries.
• Deliver detailed financial insights, variance analyses, and scenario planning to support leadership decisions.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to enhance cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Partner with accounting teams to ensure management reports align with statutory accounts, promoting analytical rigor and continuous process enhancement.
• Play a strategic role in initiatives involving business expansion, cost transformation, and investment evaluation.

Policies and Compliance

• Adhere strictly to all relevant financial policies, systems, procedures, and controls to maintain operational consistency and safeguard assets.
• Conduct internal audits regularly to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Support external audit processes by collaborating with auditors and addressing audit findings.
• Participate actively in meeting internal audit requirements.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and promote enhancements in finance department systems, practices, and business processes to align with international best practices while reducing costs and improving productivity.

Team Leadership and Development

• Mentor and cultivate a team of finance professionals, encouraging ongoing skills advancement and performance improvement.
• Create a collaborative, efficient work environment across finance and other business units.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with departments such as procurement, HR, and operations to align financial objectives with broader organizational goals.
• Effectively communicate financial outcomes and key performance indicators to both internal and external stakeholders clearly and succinctly.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines; Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Professional accounting certification like CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or SOCPA required.
• At least 10 years of progressive finance experience, including a minimum of 3 years in leadership within operationally intense industries.
• Proven expertise in analyzing financial data to generate actionable business insights and managing budgets and cost control.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with ERP and planning software such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan, or Power BI is essential.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Capability to adapt and thrive in a fast-moving, multicultural, and dynamic organizational context.
