Role Overview

The Assistant Support Worker position focuses on aiding service users to achieve their day-to-day objectives, develop skills, and live meaningful lives. You will work as a valued team member providing high-quality support, guided by company policies and professional standards. This role occasionally involves overnight and weekend shifts on a rotating basis.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist service users in following daily routines and plans
  • Accompany and support individuals during activities in the community
  • Promote personal development through education, skills training, and supporting achievement of individual goals
  • Support independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and maintaining family connections
  • Operate in line with company regulations, codes, and standards
  • Participate in scheduled shift work, which may include evenings, nights, and weekends

Requirements

  • No formal qualification is required for the Assistant Support Worker role; all necessary training will be provided
  • Those applying as Social Care Workers must hold a Level 7 or Level 8 degree in Social Care/Healthcare or related field and be CORU-registered
  • Desirable: relevant personal or professional life experience
  • A strong work ethic and genuine interest in supporting others
  • Full driving licence required, or in the process of obtaining one
