Assistant Pre-K General

Job Overview

This position serves as an Assistant for Pre-K educational programs, providing support in instructing foundational subjects such as reading, writing, and mathematics according to readiness levels. The role requires a combination of educational credentials and the ability to assist with classroom activities utilizing basic computer skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Hold a Child Development Associate's (CDA) Credential, an Associate's degree, or a Bachelor’s degree.
• If lacking an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, candidates must pass the ParaPro Assessment or have completed 60 college credits in addition to a CDA credential to meet No Child Left Behind requirements.
• Ability to assist with instructing reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics readiness, as appropriate.
• Basic computer literacy including email, Microsoft Excel, and Word proficiency.
• Physical ability to occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.

Position Details

• Work location: Lake Trafford Elementary, Immokalee, FL.
• Work calendar consists of 186 days annually.
• Full-time employment with an EFTE of 1.00.
