Assistant Manager - Mechanical

Job Overview and Responsibilities

The role involves planning and executing turbine erection, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting in compliance with OEM standards. The candidate will manage the operation and upkeep of steam turbines, auxiliary equipment, lubrication systems, and control systems. This includes monitoring turbine performance, analyzing variations, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.

Coordination with OEMs, contractors, and interdepartmental teams is essential to ensure timely resolution of issues and efficient project completion. The incumbent must ensure compliance with safety protocols, standard operating procedures, legal regulations, and quality standards in all turbine-related operations. Support for outage scheduling, shutdown procedures, inspections, and major turbine overhauls is also a critical responsibility. Additionally, the role requires preparing technical reports, maintaining maintenance documentation, and analyzing performance data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Preference will be given to candidates with a Post Graduate Diploma in Automation, Energy Management, Power Plant Engineering, or equivalent fields.
