Meril Life Science is dedicated to advancing healthcare through innovation, focusing on transforming patient outcomes with its MISSO surgical robotics portfolio. These advanced robotic technologies provide precision, efficiency, and superior clinical results. This position, based in Maharashtra, requires the on-site leadership of capital sales for Meril’s high-value surgical robotic systems across key locations including Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline by targeting hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), and orthopedic clinics.
  • Skillfully manage lengthy capital equipment sales cycles while securing short-term sales victories.
  • Work collaboratively with the Joints Product Team to customize sales pitches aligned with surgeons' preferences for procedures like total knee, hip, or revision surgeries.
  • Craft tailored solution messaging that matches each surgeon’s unique philosophy and practice style.
  • Lead complex negotiations encompassing capital system purchases, leasing agreements, and service contracts with added value.
  • Influence decision-makers by presenting robust ROI analyses and clinical benefits.
  • Engage hospital leadership as a trusted advisor, delivering presentations covering financial, operational, and clinical aspects of robotic investments.
  • Use clinical research, peer-reviewed publications, and health economic tools to support compelling sales narratives.
  • Educate stakeholders on the advantages of MISSO robotics over competitors such as Stryker, Medtronic, and Globus Medical.
  • Coordinate with Clinical Demo and Education teams to facilitate surgeon demonstrations, cadaver labs, and evaluation trials that encourage hands-on engagement.
  • Conduct continuous market intelligence gathering on competitors, procurement trends, and market dynamics to guide commercial strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or any related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven success in capital equipment sales within the medical device sector, preferably involving robotics, imaging, or surgical platforms.
  • A strong record of consistently surpassing sales targets in complex and matrixed organizational settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a talent for impactful storytelling and consultative selling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or similar advanced qualification.
  • Existing professional network including orthopedic surgeons and hospital purchasing authorities.
