Architectural Engineer, QA / QC

Overview

This role focuses on overseeing quality assurance and control to ensure all projects and products adhere to established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will support the creation and enforcement of quality control measures, conduct inspections and audits, analyze improvement areas, and collaborate with multiple teams to address quality-related challenges. Working alongside senior engineers, compliance with industry regulations and internal standards is critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify that all drawings meet dimension and embedment requirements, coordinating with designers to resolve discrepancies.
• Review and act on Request for Information (RFI) comments, ensuring issues are addressed promptly.
• Represent the quality department during joint inspections with consultants and clients.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and monitoring Corrective Action Requests (CARs) implementation.
• Confirm that only approved materials are used and clarify project execution details to prevent recurring quality concerns.
• Document non-conformities and observations with required RCA and track corrective action follow-through.
• Maintain and update technical skills, setting clear career development goals.
• Execute planned tasks efficiently to meet operational objectives within allocated costs and timelines, providing regular progress reports outlining deviations and completions.
• Resolve operational problems and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Develop and maintain effective quality control methods, specifications, and metrics.
• Establish and coordinate formal policies, procedures, and pursue automation for business process improvements.
• Adhere strictly to organizational policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met within all assigned activities, supporting safety compliance and high-quality output delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in quality assurance or control.
• Strong knowledge and experience with quality compliance standards, quality metrics, and quality tools and techniques.
