About the Apprenticeship

Join us for a hands-on apprenticeship as a Construction Mechanic at our headquarters in Augsburg starting 1st September 2027. If you have a passion for large machinery, plants, and metal constructions, this role will show you how to transform raw metal into advanced Hosokawa Alpine machines.

Apprenticeship Program Details

  • First-year training focuses on core skills in metal and steel construction, welding, and sheet metal processing.
  • You will primarily work within our sheet metal working department, gaining practical experience and becoming a key team player.
  • Experienced trainers will provide continuous support for your learning and challenges.
  • Alongside practical training, you will attend vocational school concurrently.
  • Your tasks will include:
  • Precise metal and sheet metal cutting with millimeter accuracy
  • Bending, rounding, edging, drilling, and joining sheet metal and components
  • Interpreting technical drawings and parts lists
  • Producing steel and sheet metal constructions, manufacturing components, and assembling parts
  • Applying various welding methods

The apprenticeship typically lasts 3.5 years, but with exceptional performance it can be shortened to 3 years.

Candidate Profile

  • Completed middle school education with good grades in technical areas like mathematics, physics, and technology/crafts.
  • Strong technical understanding and manual dexterity essential for this skilled trade.
  • Basic English proficiency advantageous due to technical terminology and international work environment.
  • Reliable, meticulous, and responsible work ethic when handling assigned tasks.
  • Preference for physically engaging work rather than office-based roles.
