Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position based in Lagos, Nigeria, involves proactive outbound calling to potential customers. The Appointment Setters/Cold Callers identify qualified leads by adhering to specific criteria and arrange appointments for sales and service teams of clients. Tasks include following structured scripts, documenting call results within CRM systems, and keeping lead information current to facilitate efficient follow-up. Daily responsibilities require managing substantial call volumes, organizing call lists, addressing straightforward enquiries, and escalating more complex issues appropriately. There is a strong focus on meeting personal and collective performance objectives while professionally upholding client brand standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Effective verbal communication skills with clear English articulation and active listening abilities.
- Proficiency in customer interaction, particularly experience with cold calling, qualifying prospects, scheduling appointments, and handling basic objections.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms for accurate data entry, call outcome documentation, and lead management.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities, including prioritizing calls and consistently achieving daily and weekly targets.
- Professional demeanor and teamwork orientation, demonstrating reliability, process compliance, and openness to feedback and collaboration.
- Previous work experience in telemarketing, call centers, customer support, or business process outsourcing is advantageous.
- Availability to work full-time on-site with dependable transportation access in Nigeria.
- Completion of at least a high school education is preferred; additional training in sales, communication, or customer service is a plus.
