About the role
The Biscuiterie de la Tour d'Albon, a family-run company based in Anneyron (26), specialises in making chocolate tablet biscuits, children’s boudoirs, dietetic and organic biscuits, and filled cereal bars. With 70 years of history and 190 employees, the business relies on strong technical know-how to deliver high-quality products that delight consumers.
The Research and Development department is looking for an R&D assistant on an apprenticeship contract, attached administratively to the head office. You will support the Formulation and Product Development Manager in a learning-focused environment with regular guidance.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Formulation and Product Development Manager, as well as the marketing and industrial teams, to build product development plans from feasibility studies through to pre-industrialisation.
- Apply the company’s specific research approach and development methodology.
- Define experimental methods, contribute to test design, and help prepare validation plans with site teams such as production, technical, and quality.
- Review test outcomes against specifications and implement any required adjustments.
- Prepare written summaries and update the project management database for development activities.
- Set the process control parameters and product characterisation settings needed to build the quality control plan with the quality team.
- Improve existing products by analysing and optimising finished goods, raw materials, and current processes.
- Review packaging copy and materials.
Contract details
This position is an apprenticeship contract for 1 to 2 years, on a full-time schedule.
