Role Overview
Stanbridge University is currently seeking committed Adjunct General Education Faculty members to support instructional needs across core disciplines at its various campuses, including San Marcos, CA. This ongoing recruitment aims to fulfill current and upcoming teaching requirements in the General Education program.

Primary Duties
- Conduct on-campus lectures and laboratory sessions using established syllabi and approved materials
- Create engaging, student-focused learning environments that foster academic achievement
- Design instructional activities aligned with course objectives and program goals
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Maintain precise records including attendance, grades, and mandated documentation
- Consistently enforce academic and attendance policies
- Exhibit flexibility in instructional methods and demonstrate dedication to student success
- Stay updated on subject matter expertise and effective teaching practices
- Participate actively in department meetings and governance activities as required
Candidate Requirements
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Graduate or terminal degree in a hard science, mathematics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- At least fifteen semester credit hours (or equivalent) in the subject(s) intended for instruction
- Ability to provide official transcripts verifying graduate-level coursework in the teaching subjects
- Competency in educational technologies and standard computer applications
- Strong communication skills including writing, verbal articulation, and presentations
- Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities within a deadline-driven academic setting
Preferred Attributes:
- Previous teaching experience with adult learners in higher education
- Capability to instruct across several General Education disciplines
- Familiarity with learning management systems and instructional technology
- Student-centered teaching philosophy and excellent interpersonal skills
Work Locations and Assignments
- Instructional postings available at campuses including Orange County/Irvine, Los Angeles/Alhambra, San Diego/San Marcos, and Inland Empire/Riverside
- Teaching assignments and campus locations may be aligned based on faculty availability and program requirements
Compensation
- Hourly rate ranges between $35 and $50, adjusted according to qualifications, experience, subject expertise, and internal equity
Work Environment
- Teaching duties take place within classroom and laboratory settings, dependent on course allocation
- Preference for faculty proficient in delivering both lecture and lab instruction
